We firmly believe that licensed and trained security guards
should be allowed to carry personal defence sprays.
It makes little sense a security officer is permitted to carry
firearms and batons that are capable of inflicting serious injuries
and even death, but is not permitted to
carry and use a personal defence spray--a humane and safe self-defence
implement.
NASPA (National Security Providers Association) Pty Ltd is
proposing to collect petitions which will be forwarded to the
relevant authorities.
